Busta Rhymes has officially cut off his long dreadlocks

Aftermath artist Busta Rhymes is sporting a new look, after ditching his trademark dreadlocks for a short haircut.

The rapper, real name "Trevor Smith", recently visited a New York City barbershop where he had his 16-year-old look drastically altered.

He tells MTV News, "I started growing these shits in December '89. I was 17. I signed my (record) deal and said, 'I ain't combing my hair no more. I don't have to.'"

The star's new look will be on full display in the video for his new single "Touch It", which is released early next month.
